Frequently Asked Questions
How does it actually work?+
Install the app on your computer, connect your email account (Gmail or Outlook), pick a date range, and Micsout scans your inbox and identifies receipts and invoices using AI - including ones buried in email bodies or as attachments.
Does it work on Windows or Mac?+
Micsout is currently available for Windows. A Mac version is in the works - let us know if you want to be notified when it ships.
Do I have to pay before I can try it?+
No - download and scan your inbox completely free, no credit card needed. You only pay the one-time $249 when you want to export to CSV/PDF or send a report to your accountant.
Is there a limit on documents or emails?+
No. Unlimited documents, unlimited inboxes, and no limit on how far back you search - go back years if you need to.
Is this a subscription?+
No. It's a one-time payment of $249. No recurring charge, no time limit on usage.
Why do I need to keep these documents at all?+
The IRS requires businesses to keep records that support the income, expenses, and deductions reported on a tax return - receipts, invoices, paid bills, and account statements. Electronic records are accepted. Micsout just makes it fast to actually find and organize what you already have.
Is my data safe?+
Your email connection is secured (official OAuth or a dedicated app password - never your real password), and all data stays on your computer, not in our cloud.
How many computers can I use it on?+
Your license is tied to one computer, permanently. If you need to move it to a different machine, contact us and we'll help.
Which email providers are supported?+
Gmail and Outlook (including personal Outlook.com accounts). Quick setup with an app password, or advanced setup with Google/Microsoft Sign-In.
How do I get the software after buying?+
You'll get an activation code by email immediately after payment. Enter it on our activation page to get your direct download link.
Is there support?+
Yes - reach out through our contact page any time with questions or issues.
